Spotlight on the Nuer
The Nuer are the second-largest people group in Southern Sudan. Among the two million Nuer is little transformational work and less than 2% are reached.
Most of these cattle herding people make their homes in swampy areas around the Nile and its tributaries where they grow sorghum, maize and tobacco.
Large petroleum deposits have been found on their land causing extreme disruption to their way of life.
