His father was a pastor for many years in the Akot area and Abraham has faithfully followed in his footsteps. He has ministered with the Baptist Mission for the past 8 years and is responsible for many church plants in the area. He has recently spearheaded the beginning of a primary school on the Baptist Training Center compound. The school now has over 60 children, many of them orphans, attending each day. Abraham is the Spiritual Training Director for the region and is responsible for discipleship training and church planting for the Baptist Church. He is a recent graduate of the Baptist Bible School in Kajo Keji.
Isaac Bol
Isaac is married to Deborah and has five children, three girls and two boys, all under 11 years of age. He began working for the Baptist Mission about 8 years ago as a guard on our Malwal compound. After attending training classes for a few years Isaac finally started a church and became a pastor. He continues being one of our key evangelists but has recently been chosen to be the manager of the Baptist Training Center. His responsibilities include compound development, conference set ups, managing employees and leading devotions. Isaac has attended the ACMI Bible school in Rumbek but still has more classes to finish.
Shadrack Chol
Shadrack is married to Mary and has four child, two girls and two boys, all under 7 years of age. He began working at the Baptist Mission about 7 years ago as a grass cutter and general compound worker. He began attending Bible training classes and soon was pasturing a church in Makoltit. A few years ago he began working at the Baptist clinic and was soon made the chaplain. He has had training from pastors coming from the States in how to minister to people visiting the clinic and doing follow up visits with them. He continues to pastor in the Akot area and is a well respected leader within the Baptist community. Shadrack also attended the ACMI Bible school in Rumbek and still has some classes to finish.

Spotlight on the Dinka
The Dinka are the largest people group in Sudan numbering up to five million in 26 different clans. The daily lives of these very tall and very dark people revolve around cattle herding.
While some ministry has been accomplished among the Dinka, still less than 2% have had a visible, life-changing experience with Christ.
After many years of residing in refugee camps due to 20 plus years of civil war, a peace agreement signed in early 2005 has allowing many Dinka to return to their traditional homelands.
Pray that newly-trained leaders will help transform their communities through daily practicing what the Bible teaches about having a relationship with God.
